If anybody has been to any recent gig's for the past month. They would properly get this pamphlet been handed out to the crowd. To promote the album launching of Couple's new album. To be frank, this is my first time to MCPA Hall to see any band perform, and it sure was a hoot !
At the parking lot of the hall, you'll will see this Volkswagen Camper Van parked outside. Not entirely sure weather is that the fan's car or Couple's band ride? Since I saw the lead singer and the drummer each drive their own respective cars :P

The first three performances by The Hollow's / The Dearly Missed / The Peanuts I did not actually go head banging together with the crowd. Not my type of music nor I was in the mood. Actually was quite sleepy at that time. I almost fell asleep on the chair. After their performance there is a short break before the one of the awaited band arrived.
Finally it's Couple's turn and they played 10 songs according to their album song released. From one to ten. As expected, it is their gig. So everybody there knows the song and sing along with the band. Or maybe the crowd just take out the booklet from the album :P.
Yes ! Finally it's Yuna's turn. Irony of it. People don't know that, this gig is actually a Couple's thing (before the day it's self) I kept hearing from other people were like
It was like my highlight of the day. Seeing her perform, her voice is just simply to die for, can't wait for her next gig.
But thank goodness that most people went to this gig knows what they're going for."hey hey are you going to the Yuna thing?"

I got nothing much to brag or say about this EP. It is just exactly from their Myspace and from the gig's that they have performed. Can't wait for their second EP through.Enter This Kosmos

Yes I did went to the Rock The World 2008 concert at Secret Garden, Stadium Merdeka. To be frank I got nothing to say about this event. It does not seem or feel happening at all. Or due to the fact that it is not my type of event.
One thing for sure. Getting there is such a hassle. It's located near central KL (nearby Hang Tuah Star LRT station / Victorian Institution High School) not to mentioned parking there is dreaded. Thus just went a little far just to ensure that the car is safe. But by the looks of it. It is such a ghetto place to be.
After parking have to walk quite a distance to the venue. It feels like I'm a the old part of the town. *scary*
Upon arrival (the 2nd time). It was break time for Asar time prayers. I did went to the venue at around 2 - 3-ish but then it was boring and looks like it was gonna rain. Thus that's why gone back to the car to take umbrella. But then saw a bunch of policemen issuing fined at the cars parked around that area. In the mood for not getting fined, have to re-park the car somewhere else.
It's like a bunch of illegal emigrants sitting around to be port back to their home-country. But when the next band announcement,

So I'll just enjoy watching the band perform by via the screen they provided and enjoying their food. It taste like those typical Pasar Malam type. Nothing special unlike Urbanscapes or Sunburst :P
On Friday, 19th December 2008 is sure a long long way just for a four hours errands run.

One of my location is Cyberjaya and I must say that Cyberjaya since the last time I've been there (was like what? 5 - 6 years ago?) it was quite dead. Now it seems like a lot of buildings has pop out. Well mostly is offices and factory's but still. Quite a number of IT companies there and the building does look nice. I wouldn't mind working here :P.
With this piece of paper is not sure whether to be happy? sad? angered?. Just simply stunned and speechless.

This is something interesting that caught one's eye while I was on the way to go to Sungei Wang (but parked at Times Square)

Which consists of Independent Clothing Labels and Independent bands performing and the bands that were voted from UOX's Website
As usual punctuality is not my strongest point but try's to be punctual at all times. The event was suppose to start at 5pm but since due to heavy rain it was (I think) delayed to 5.30-ish. Since upon the arrival there was the end of Bunkface (not included in the poster) performance. Next performance was by Stonebay

I did not watch Stonebay performed because at that time I felt a little bit thirsty so I went around the rooftop area to explore. Nothing much interesting to the eye (for me) except that, got Gloria Jeans Coffee booth selling drinks. The best part is that, when I wanted to buy their Ice Blended drinks, something happen. I ordered at the cashier then then cashier ordered the drinks then the other Batista is preparing the drink. I was just about to give the money to the cashier and then all of the sudden the power for the Gloria Jeans Coffee's booth went out of power. Just my luck !. Waited for 10 minutes and power was still not back on. So in the end have to settle with Iced Coffee Latte. Such luck.
Next was a performance by the Bus Company.
I never heard of this band before but their music is quite "okay-lah" but I noticed that it was not that well accepted with the crowd. There is a hypothesis towards that. But will get to that on later. Moving on,

When One Buck Short performing. The crowd gets wild by widening their mosh pits.
When One Buck Short finished their performance a bunch of sad cases came up. It was Tempered Metal
At first everybody was like "woahhhhhh" because due to the fact that it is a girl as a lead singer and the crowd are a bunch of hormonal males. But when she sings, everybody "whoahhhh" again in a negative manner. Just because the way she sings is not understandable by the crowd. It's not because of she sings badly it is just that (to me) I think because it is in English and from my observation, that crowd is not English proficient.
Up next was, Seven
Sorry I don't have any Laila's Lounge pictures. I guess never had the energy to continue on with the negative vibes from the crowds.
After their performance was the long awaited Bittersweet.
Irony of it. When this band is about to perform, all those sweaty boys / man doing the mosh pit is gone and a group of people wearing round hats and poofy clothes came up in front near the stage. I guessed is those crowd time to shine eh? Their music is totally reminiscent of one other band that I used to have their CD before I lend it to my friend.
After that, is the Indie veteran, Butterfingers
Butterfingers performance is not a drag at all. The crowd responses was amazing !. Everybody knew the songs (including me !) and we all sang together.

The whole event finishes right after The SIGIT's performance. Roughly right on time also at 12am. At the end of the day. It was a successful event I might say. The only rant that I have is just the crowd. It just seem they aren't, how should I put it. Unsophisticated or civilized enough.

It's currently 3.50am as I'm typing this. Very sleepy and tired. Today (Sunday) will have another event that I'll have to attend to at noon, so I'll guess I'll won't be blogging this today or now. But here's a little teaser :P

Tickets are priced at RM25 and can be brought at Maju Junction Mall, Rock Corner, Music Valley or Extreme Outlets
The thing is that I don't have the feel to go since it was announced most properly due to the fact that this is not the mood for going to gigs. Not to mentioned I'm somewhat scared of the mosh pits that I assume that will be moshing around. But then one thing trigger that properly makes the percentage of seeing me there is this little announcement that I saw.
Komplot will be selling their EP at Rock The World 8. I'd always wanted to get their EP (the other one is Oh Chentaku) then rip at 320KBPS and put it into my iPod. Then it would most proberly beat the current number one on my iTunes list :P.
Decision decision, should I or should I not go??
