Youth '09 by youths for youths
The first biggest event for the year 2009 for me was the Youth 09 festival. Which is a three day event, from 9th January till 11th January 2009, 11 hours of non-stop filled with activities.
I did not expect to volunteer for this event. It all happen during the usual Friday-night-near-weekend-go-out-to-eat-and-catching-up day, then out of the blue, all thanks to this person for urging me to be a volunteer on Saturday
On the first day, I did not help out as a volunteer but I did went in as a visitor, just to view around how was it. First of all, from the entrance where you must fill up the form to get your entrance pass and the hall where the event was held is seriously far !. But lets not rant about the minor petty little things, lets just enjoy a bunch of pictures below.
I was station at the registration booth and at the stamping station. Not being rude and all but some of these people seriously never register a form before? Frequently I will get;
The little kids who's I check their Identification Card number are after 1991 I generally accept that, they don't know the meaning of NIRC number. But those who are already over 20 years old and still don't know what is NIRC number is just simply.. .. ..
But never the less. I felt somewhat 'older' that get to be called as "abang" rather then "adik" :P.
